The NIKE Air Turbulence II was a running shoe that features dye sublimated wrap around printing. I was asked to create a graphic that suggested breaking the sound barrier as the foot moved forward. We were trying to create an illusion that really worked best as the feet were moving back and forth.
Using Photoshop, I had to create the pattern, then apply it to a 3-D surface and match the composite color in the shoes.
These shoes were worn by Tobey Maguire in the first Spiderman movie.
